History of the Library
A major component in the seminary’s educational program is the 200,000 volume Krauth Memorial Library. It boasts one of the finest scholarly collections of any Lutheran institution in America and it houses archives of five of the seminary’s supporting synods.
During the academic year the library is open weekdays and evenings as well as weekends. Summer hours are weekdays only. The library’s integrated computer system, “ECCO,” provides access to most of the holdings in the library. A professional staff is available for assistance and consultation.
