Student Life at LTSP

The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (LTSP) provides an engaged and welcoming community
of students, staff, and faculty with a variety of social, academic, and experiential learning options.

Public Theology in ACTION

PUBLIC THEOLOGY — the way we live our lives in witness to the gospel as leaders of the church — begins at the seminary with a variety of activities. From activism to public demonstrations against gun violence and AIDS fundraisers. From flag football tournaments with other seminaries to game nights with the president, the student body at LTSP builds community with fellowship.

As a part of our ongoing commitment to public theology, the Philadelphia area provides our students essential opportunities for contextual education. Sites range from advocacy and nonprofit organizations to urban, suburban, and rural congregations.
