Prologue 2009 has begun

"Introduction to Public Theology" is the title of the 2009 Prologue, a 2 week introduction to seminary which began with worship on Sunday, August 23, 2009. Incoming LTSP students first professional students, coming to LTSP to study towards the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Religion, and the new Master of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Public Leadership, attend Prologue to help them prepare for seminary and become acquainted with their colleagues and the community.

Classes at LTSP begin Tuesday, September 8 with Opening Day worship and a lecture by LTSP Professor The Rev. Dr. Richard Stewart on "Who Saitheth that: IT IS NOT E-SAY TO BE GREEN?" More on Opening Day will be posted on the LTSP Web.

Friend of LTSP Mercia Brenne Bachmann has died

Mercia Brenne Bachmann, who along with her late husband seminary alumnus E. Theodore Bachmann was a long time supporter of The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (LTSP), died peacefully on February 2, 2009, in Townshend, Vermont. She was 96. Mercia and Dr. Bachmann, known as Ted, who died in 1995, were known in Lutheran circles as partners in international ministry.
