July 1, 2017: First day for ULS and for the first ULS President
July 1, 2017, marked the first day for the new United Lutheran Seminary – One Seminary on Two Campuses, Gettysburg + Philadelphia.
The day also marked the first day in office for the first president of United Lutheran Seminary (ULS), the Rev. Dr. Theresa Latini, who will also serve on the seminary faculty as Professor of Pastoral Theology. As she plans to do on a regular basis, President Latini was on both the Gettysburg and Philadelphia campuses for a week in July, and is establishing residences on both campuses so she will be able to be active in both communities throughout the year.
President Latini’s Inauguration as first president of United Lutheran Seminary will be marked by a series of events scheduled for the afternoon and evening of Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Save the date, and be watching for more information!
After her appointment was announced by the ULS board in April, then President-Elect Latini shared some thoughts with the Philadelphia campus community, as reported in PS Portions here.
