Mailroom - Change of Address Form
As the end of the school year approaches many of you are leaving campus for the summer, for internship, or indefinitely, in addition to other reasons. If you will be here through the summer and fall, you do not need to do anything as far as this form and your mail are concerned. Just email the mailroom (firstname.lastname@example.org), and say that you will not be leaving for the summer. If, however, you are leaving campus, there are two mail-related things you need to do:
- FORWARDING ADDRESS: We will only forward "First Class" mail for one week. Please fill out this form and drop it off to the mailroom or place it in the campus mail slot. Include more than one address if necessary, but be specific about the dates mail should be sent to each location. If you live on campus and are moving away for internship or permanently you also must fill out a U.S. Postal Service Change of Address form. Forms are available in the mailroom - please do not fill out the USPS online change of address form (it complicates the process on our end greatly). If leaving for just the summer, you can indicate dates for a temporary change of address with the Postal Service.
- RETURN YOUR KEY: If you are leaving campus, even if only for the summer, you must turn in your mailbox key. This will prevent a large number of lost keys and fees for making new keys. Simply bring the key to the mailroom in person or put it in an envelope with your name and box number on it and drop it in the campus mail slot. Please indicate on the envelope leaving for the summer, internship, or permanently. When you return to campus in the fall or after internship, just stop by the mailroom and your key will be waiting for you.
We know that no one wants to have anything else to do right now, but these can be done anytime before you leave campus and will only take a moment.
We hope everyone has an excellent summer!
