The Rev.Carla M. Rush (MDiv 2009)
Pr. Carla Rush has been called by the Wartburg Parish of the Central/Southern Illinois Synod to serve as pastor of St John Lutheran Church, Bremen and Peace Lutheran Church, Chester, Illinois. Her last Sunday at Bethany Lutheran, Kaleva, MI is February 23 and she begins ministry in Bremen/Chester on March 3. Prayers for Bethany Kaleva, St John Bremen, Peace Chester, and Pr. Carla during this time of transition would be greatly appreciated.
The Wartburg Parish is made up of five Lutheran churches located in Southwestern Illinois. The churches of the Parish include: Peace Lutheran Church in Chester, The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Peace in Steeleville, St. John Lutheran Church of Bremen, St. John Lutheran Church of Post Oak and St. Peter Lutheran Church of Wine Hill. The churches of the Wartburg Parish belong to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of American and are members of the Central-Southern Illinois Synod of the ELCA.

The Rev. Richard L. Miller (MDiv 1959)
Pastor Richard L. Miller died on Sunday, January 26, 2014.
Following his graduation from LTSP and ordination in 1959, Pastor Miller served as assistant pastor of St. John, Boyertown for two years. In 1961, he became pastor of Holy Cross, Bethlehem, where he served until his retirement in 1996.
Calling hours were held on Friday, February 7, at Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem. Funeral services weree held at on Saturday, February 8, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2700 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem, preceded by a calling hour.
Condolences may be sent to Pastor Miller's wife, Judith, at 1510 Rudolph Drive, Bethlehem PA 18018-1821.

The Rev. William Clark, Jr. (MDiv 1993)
Pastor William Clark, Jr. (MDiv 1993) died suddenly on February 12, 2014. He had been installed as pastor of Church of the Abiding Presence, Bronx, NY on February 2. As a seminarian, Pr. Clark was an accomplished musician and frequently played in chapel and at events such as Advent Vespers. He is survived by his wife Tanya and his son William, and the members of his new congregation. Arrangements are incomplete.
