As Director of Information Systems, Kyle manages the seminary's computing  and telecommunications services, coordinating computers, local data networks, the Internet, and telephone services. He does a little bit of everything, from installing telephone wiring and computer networks to budgeting and writing policies. Kyle has been at LTSP since the spring of 1998. Prior to that, he worked in the Academic Computing Center at Haverford College. Kyle has a long-standing interest in how computers can fit into the higher education environment and improve the teaching and learning experience. However, he also has cherished memories of his own education, which for the most part took place in low-tech environments, and he hopes that the seminary can preserve the best aspects of "traditional" academia as we add high-tech tools into the mix.
