Biography
Larry House has been a part of the seminary community since he joined the staff in 1991 in the development department. He provided leadership in the department and the LTSP Foundation, including two capital campaigns, until he accepted another call as Vice President of Development for Liberty Lutheran Services in 2006. He returned in 2009 to continue his ministry at the seminary, focusing on working with individuals and congregations in generating support for the seminary in all its expressions.
Having received his Certification as a Fund Raising Executive, (CFRE) Larry brings experience in all aspects of fund raising. He currently focuses on securing larger gifts through developing current gift strategies as well as assisting graduates and friends as they consider their ultimate stewardship through planned gifts as well as estate gifts.
His focus is bringing together opportunities that benefit the individual making the gift, helping them to achieve their philanthropic goals, while also benefiting the ministry of theological education at LTSP.
Larry is an Associate in Ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Along with Karen, his wife, he is a member of Upper Dublin Lutheran Church and serves as a leader in the Southeastern Pa Synod. He is the father of three adult children and "Gdad" of three wonderful grandchildren. They reside in Plymouth Meeting.
