Tom serves in the Office for Philanthropy as a Philanthropic Advisor. His role is to assist donors in making financial decisions that connect their passions to the mission of LTSP, specifically focusing on the need for student scholarship funds. He also meets with ministry leaders and congregations on a regular basis to strengthen ties between the seminary and wider church.

Tom has a background in the financial services industry, previously working as a Financial Advisor with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. He also served as Director of Admissions at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. He has prior experience in congregational, outdoor, and youth ministry settings.

A native of Scotland and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Tom is a graduate of Newberry College and Southern Seminary, both in South Carolina. He is the proud father of Cullen and they live in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. In his spare time, Tom enjoys playing golf poorly, cooking well, spending time with friends abundantly, and following his beloved Clemson Tigers passionately.
