Recap: Preaching Days 2015 – Learning, Worship, and Fellowship
This October saw the return of the popular Preaching Days to the LTSP campus. For three days, attendees were rewarded with lectures fro five outstanding preachers along with worship opportunities, workshops, and opportunities for fellowship and reflection.
Plenary presenters included presenters, including Thomas Long (inaugural St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Doylestown Lecturer), Audrey West, and Paul Scott Wilson, along with LTSP’s own Karyn Wiseman and Wayne Croft. The keynoters shared experience and advice on effective preaching, preaching at difficult times, and preaching in contact. Workshops offering more specific topics were presented by Audrey West (Preaching Advent in the Year of Luke), David Lose (More Effective Stewardship Preaching), Karyn Wiseman (Preaching in a Wired World), Keith Anderson (Preaching at the Digital Crossroads: Using Digital Technology to More Effectively Prepare, Deliver, and Share Your Sermons), Chaz Howard (Preaching Black Lives Matter to predominantly White Congregations), Paul Lutz (Biblical Storytelling), and Robert Linders (Preaching and Pastoral Leadership).
Be watching for future learning opportunities, and for Preaching Days 2016!
